BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No.2  CLIFTON SPRINGS  ($4 with bet365)

The Brett Cavanough-trained CLIFTON SPRINGS has improved with each run this time in and now looks ready to rock. Last start, the Holy Roman Emperor gelding put in his best effort this preparation when he finished third in a BM58 Hcp over 1000m at Gunnedah. He led from barrier rise and five of the eight runners hit the line as one with less than half a length separating them. Braith Nock is yet to see the podium from three previous rides but gets another crack at it today. He claims 3kgs here and has fared well again at the gates, drawing barrier two here where he maps to settle on speed again. Rock-hard fit now after four runs back, the five-year-old looks in the mix here today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7:  No.7  MAJORITY  ($4 with Neds)

Dubbo galloper MAJORITY sees the Moree track for the first time and her current form suggests she has strong claims here for victory today. Last start, the Sebring mare was second-up when she finished on the podium again, taking home the bronze medal in a BM74 Hcp over 1200m on her home track. Trapped wide the entire trip, she took the turn the widest runner but with Clay Gallagher aboard, she showed plenty of fight and finished off strongly to arrive in time for that minor prize. Gallagher sticks with her today and already a winner when third-up and dropping in grade here, she can make her trip to Moree worthwhile by taking home the major prize.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.2  BEAN ROCKING  ($6 with bet365)

The Armidale-based BEAN ROCKING is in good touch this preparation and looks well placed here to bring-up his second career win today. Last start, the Spill The Beans gelding found himself finishing just behind the placegetters for the second-straight time in a Class 1 Hcp over 1175m at Grafton. He settled near mid-field and did well to grab fourth prize after being held up in the run home that day. Ash Morgan sticks with him here as he draws to do no early work from gate four. With a trouble-free run here, he is more than capable of taking this one out.
