BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 8 No. 4 SIGNAL- ($4.95)

SUPER VALENTINE can just about make it back to back wins when he steps out in Race 8. The four-year-old broke through in style at Cranbourne on May 5, running on well at the business end to edge out Elly Dee late in the piece. Those two put a four-length gap on the rest and the runner-up has since gone on to claim her Maiden at Cranbourne by two lengths. Super Valentine went 2.2 lengths slower than standard benchmark figures in his recent win and they are the best last start figures of any runner. He can push up from the barrier and with even luck in the run he should be hard to beat. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 2 No 3 FAR TOO LONG- ($5.50)

FAR TOO LONG can get the job done in Race 2. The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained galloper has come in from $13 to $5.50 after some scratchings and has placed in two of three. After dropping out of it at Kyneton, he improved at Geelong over the 1760m to stick on well for 3rd behind Connecticut. He has the fitness under his belt with three runs now and this looks no harder.
