Morphettville Parks Tips 10/06/2023

BEST BET 🏆

Race 5 No. 5 SECOND TO NUN – ($4.65)

The day’s racing at Murray Bridge was all about SECOND TO NUN who was the most impressive winner on the card. She drew poorly on face value or Todd Pannell who was happy to keep the filly in a comfortable rhythm towards the back of midfield. She let down strongly on a long run up the middle of the track and all on her lonesome. The improvement she had been showing from race to race came to the fore as Second To Nun ran past the field to win in sharp race time. Comes to the Parks track where horses found it hard to loop from the back last week. That North-Westerly is not forecast to be as strong, and we’ll put our faith in Second To Nun to continue her progression.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 2 No. 4 LEGLESS LADY – ($4)

Lightly raced mare LEGLESS LADY continues to sprint well when fresh. She was first-up over 1100 metres in a strong BM76 at Morphettville. She settled back as per usual under Jason Holder as the pace went on up front. Holder made steady progress on the mare and had her into clear running well inside the furlong. He continued to hold her together before going to work inside the 100m. Legless Lady only seemed to possess a short, sharp dash which was nearly enough to get the job done. Since raced well at Group three level over the carnival and seems to prefer the Parks track.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 4 No. 4 TAHNEE TRADITION – ($6.50)

Last start winner TAHNEE TRADITION backs up after racing over this track and trip seven days ago. She jumped sharply under Lachlan Neindorf who had her stalking the leader into the straight. The pair kicked strongly to hold out the challengers and make it a treble for Neindorf on his last day as riding as an apprentice. He rides as a senior for the first time on a metro track at Morphettville Parks Racecourse on Saturday. Tahnee Tradition races best when able to roll forward on rain affected tracks. She’s a dual winner here and Neindorf can steer himself into the Saturday winners ranks as a senior with Tahnee Tradition on Saturday.
