Last start, the Maurice gelding made it consecutive runner-up finishes where he beat all but one to the line in a BM70 Hcp over 1206m on Canberra’s synthetic track. He finished second here (two starts back) at his only start at the track. He drops in grade today and after the 3kg claim, comes in well at the weights. A trouble-free run here should see him hard to beat home.

The Keith Dryden-trained PRETTY EYED has improved with every start this preparation and looks a big chance here of going back-to-back today. Last start, she finally broke through for her maiden win, here over the mile trip. Nick Heywood rode her a treat as she sat in the one-one to the turn, then pulled out three-wide and finished best to get the result on the line. Heywood sticks with her today and in winning form, she looks a top chance of franking that maiden effort and going back-to-back in this contest.

Race 6: No.7 BALLISTIC THERAPY ($9 with bet365)

Trained at Warwick Farm by Marc Connors, BALLISTIC THERAPY is second-up today and looks all set for back-to-back victories in this contest. Last start, the Shooting To Win mare resumed from an 18-week spell and after two trials, lined-up here in a 1300m Maiden Plate and despite hanging in badly in the run home, managed to get there right on the line with the come-back girl, Deanne Panya in the saddle. The extra ground today can only enhance her winning chances today as Panya sticks with the mare for this event. Fitter for that first-up effort, a trouble-free run here should see her hard to hold out today and is well worth an each-way ticket.
