Race 6:  No. 10  OSMAN  ($1.95 with Bet Right)

The locally-trained OSMAN is in great touch this time in and looks primed to bring up the hat-trick today. Last start, the American Pharoah gelding made it back-to-back victories when he took out a Class 4 Hcp over 1400m at Bathurst. Sent out a $2.25 favourite, he didn’t disappoint, leading from barrier to box with Grant Buckley aboard. Today, he carries less weight and has Mitchell Bell back in the saddle (after steering him to victory two starts back at Scone). With plenty of early speed in this contest, he is drawn well in gate three and may even be box-seating on settling. The money has come for him overnight ($2.80 into $1.95) and already a three-time winner at the trip, he looks the one they have to beat today.

Race 5:  No.5  THORPE  ($1.85 with Picklebet)

The Annabel Neasham-trained THORPE is third-up today and having just his fourth race-start and yet to miss a podium finish, looks set to keep that trend going in this contest. Last start, the Fastnet Rock gelding took home his second consecutive silver medal when he beat all but one home again in a BM58 Hcp over 1400m at Nowra. He is drawn well here in gate two and after the claim, carries 4kgs less than last start. Fitter for those two runs back, he will take beating here.

Race 2:  No.3  FOUR O’CLOCK KNOCK  ($3.25 with BoomBet)

Bjorn Baker saddles-up FOUR O’CLOCK KNOCK here who has improved after four starts and looks well placed here to break through today. Last start, the Sacred Falls gelding ended up bridesmaid again when he beat all but one home in a 2100m Maiden at Wyong. Brandon Lerena was aboard for that ride and sticks with him here. Baker has decided to take on BM58 company today and with a trouble-free run here, he could upset them today and take home the spoils.
