BEST BET 🏆
Race 1 No. 1 BUBBLE OVER ($3.10)
The John Macmillan racing stable can roll their strong performance from last season into the new as BUBBLE OVER steps out in the first at Murray Bridge Racecourse on Saturday. The mare was racing first-up off a break when finishing okay in a 1000 metre BM78 race here two starts ago. Macmillan then allowed her to drop back to a midweek CL2 over this track and trip where Bubble Over proved too strong. It was perhaps the kill-job that Bubble Over needed after being around the mark since her previous win which was also here back in March this year. Bubble Over proved that she can carry weight with a dominant display last time out and the class rise should be of no concern.

Race 3 No. 3 GRENOBLE ($5.50)
Interesting to see the Lindsay Park crew send GRENOBLE to Murray Bridge Racecourse for his first-up run on Saturday. The Australian handicappers obviously rated the horse highly in allotting him 70 Benchmark points upon arrival from the UK. Grenoble did have one start for his new team when Ben, Will & JD Hayes sent him to Moe back in February. Grenoble was eased down by his rider that day and subsequently sent for a spell. He has been given a long slow build up leading into this run and we liked the way he moved in his most recent trial. The trial was set up for him somewhat with the speed being on and Jamie Mott just camping off them. He moved effortlessly past the leaders prior to turning before going on for an easy trial win. The runner-up has since been beaten a lip in Saturday grade at Moonee Valley while Gifford Hill shapes as an ideal track to launch Grenoble’s campaign.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 8 No. 11 ROAD TO BLUE SKY ($101)
Teagan Voorham jumped onto the back of ROAD TO BLUE SKY three starts ago for Judy Streets who is a newcomer to the training ranks. Road To Blue Sky ran a big race for Teagan in running third over this track and distance behind Keevs in a benchmark 68 race. The 9yo proved the run was no fluke when fourth against much the same opposition at his next start which was also run over this track and trip. Streets found a big class drop for her charge when he stormed home to get the job done under Todd Pannell in a CL1 at Gawler over 2100m. This race is not much different to the first two mentioned, and Road To Blue Sky is not the worst 100/1 shot to go around, especially with that win under his belt from last time out.
