Murray Bridge Tips 15/11/2023

BEST BET 🏆

Race 5 No. 8 DUAL FUEL – ($4.60)

Local trainer Peter Hardacre has been inching closer to another win with DUAL FUEL. The mare’s record on paper belies her ability and she will be given every chance on Wednesday under Teagan Voorham. Jason Holder followed the winner on Dual Fuel over the mile at Morphettville before finding his path blocked from the top of the straight until nearing the furlong. Teagan then found a nice spot from around midfield and one off the fence as Hardacre stepped his mare out to 1800m. The pace was good and Voorham took off early as the field bunched with nothing to take her in. The pair were left in front and going for home which left them a sitting shot for Superior Sam to race on by. Suspect Teagan will be more patient on Wednesday, and Dual Fuel can be hitting the line at the right time.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7 No. 3 MAVETTE – ($4.40)

Oakbank trainer Kirsten Mooney has MAVETTE up and about early this prep. Rochelle Milnes let the speed go early when drawn wide on resumption over this track and distance. Milnes cuddled her horse for a long way into the straight as the leaders came back to them. She went for her horse well inside the furlong as Pretty Reliable began his charge from the back. Those two quickly had the race between them towards the 50m with Mavette sticking his big neck out to deny the challenge. The pair couldn’t cross when staying to trip at Balaklava. The speed was on again and Mavette was claimed on the line by Delightful Shecky who took an age to get on by.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 3 No. 6 THAT’S UNFORTUNATE – ($9.50)

The training duo of Shane & Cassie Oxlade have kept  the scoreboard ticking over with nine winners from their last fifty race starts. THAT’S UNFORTUNATE broke through for the stable in a similar class of race two starts ago at Balaklava. Justin Potter gave him the ride of the day as he crossed from an outside alley to one off the fence and followed the speed. Hey ran along okay with Potter sitting pretty approaching the furlong. He shook up That’s Unfortunate with gelding bounding away for a big win over the 2200m. Has run in town since and is better suited coming back to this grade.
