The Scott Collings-trained EXTRAVAGENT LAD is three starts into this preparation and looks the one to beat in this easier affair. Last start, the Xtravagant gelding lined-up at cricket score odds ($51) in a BM64 Hcp on Randwick’s Kensington track where he did well to grab third prize, beaten less than two lengths. He ran a new personal best that day, covering the trip, 2.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best here by more than 8 lengths. He returns to country class racing today and after the claim, carries less weight than his last start. Fitter for three runs, he should prove hard to hold out here.

Race 7: No. 1 READY TO HUMBLE ($2.60 bet365)
The Nick Olive-trained READY TO HUMBLE comes off a recent city campaign and dropping sharply in class here should prove hard to beat. Last start, the Rubick gelding finished mid-field in a BM78 Hcp over 1400m on a heavy Randwick track. He ran that out, 3.3 lengths slower than benchmark, second-best here to Dolphina (who draws wide here and performs better on wet tracks). The five-year-old has placed three times over the mile previously and while making his track debut today, he still looks the premier pick in this field.

Race 8: No. 6 SWEET BISCUIT ($4.20 Palmerbet)
Goulburn galloper SWEET BISCUIT is in great form this time in and looks set for another podium finish in this contest. Last start, the Kermadec mare came off a hat-trick of minor placings when she finally got it together and blasted her Maiden rivals off the track, putting three lengths on them over the 1425m at Moruya. She makes her track debut here and ideally drawn in gate three, she looks set to continue the good form and prove hard to beat today.
