Victorian visitor STARPOPPY has looked good at her two starts to date and looks a real chance here today. Last start, the All Too Hard filly finished strongly to grab third prize in a 1400m Maiden at Wagga on a Heavy 10. Trapped three-wide without cover, Hannah Edgley did well to grab the last spot on the podium that day. Fitter for those two runs, Edgley sticks with her today and drawn well in gate five, the filly looks set to make it third time lucky.

Race 7: No.8 MAGNOLIA BELLE ($2.80 with Ladbrokes)
The Mitchell Beer-trained MAGNOLIA BELLE is second-up today and looks a good thing for back-to-back victories here. Last start, the Bel Esprit mare came off a nine-week break and easily accounted for a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m at Albury. She drew wide in gate nine but well ridden by Fiona Sandkuhl, found the front early and gave them a galloping lesson, leading from barrier to box. She gets the gun-run from gate one today and has Fiona Sandkuhl sticking with her for this contest. She is stepping up in class today but looks up to it on her last performance.

Race 6: No.8 DUPRIDE STAR ($3.20 with Bet Right)
The Wagga-based galloper, DUPRIDE STAR, is third-up today and looks primed for another top-three finish here. Last start, the Pride Of Dubai mare handled the conditions well when she beat all but one home in a BM58 Hcp over 1200m on her home track. On a Heavy 10 that day, she took over inside the final 200m but was swamped by one better on the day. Holly Durnan sticks with her and brings a 3kg claim with her for this assignment. Meeting similar company here, she can go one better today.
