Race 7 No. 2 CRUISE TO VICTORY – ($8)
The wide barrier did not help the chances of CRUISE TO VICTORY as a clever field assembled at Belmont Racecourse. He rolled forward at a reasonable pace and boxed on strongly as the highly fancied pair Malkar Pindari and Wango got to him inside the furlong. We backed Cruise To Victory as our Roughie that day while acknowledging the depth of some up-and-coming horses in that race. This would seem to be a step back in class on that, and other recent efforts. Keshaw Dhurun should be pushing somewhere forward again on Cruise To Victory who is already a winner at this track in a race that has produced four winners since.

Race 3 No. 2 ODIN OMEN – ($3.20)
Gingin trainer Ashley Maley prepared ODIN OMEN to return as an impressive winner over 1100 metres here recently. Shaun O’Donnell allowed his horse to find his feet early as the field strung out through the early stages. The tempo eased up top shortly after to ensure a slow pace would set the race up for those in front. Odin Omen was having none of that however as Shaun O’Donnell set him a light up the middle of Northam Racecourse. Odin Omen put his maiden field away in impressive style and Shaun McGruddy may be able to find the run of the race as he goes up in trip second-up.

Race 8 No. 3 ROCKARIA – ($18.20)
It will be interesting to see where ROCKARIA gets to from a good draw in the last at Northam Racecourse on Wednesday. There’s plenty of pressure engaged for this as we would expect being a 1000 metre race. Steve Parnham asked Rockaria to come back behind the small field from their outside draw at his most recent start. Parnham brought his horse into the race on straightening with the stick in the left hand. Rockaria got home okay to run third behind Buster’s Free. Should think Parnham can play Johnny-on-the-spot to some degree here on Wednesday. He can have Rockaria follow that good pressure before being the first to go to those in front somewhere near the furlong.
