Warwick Farm galloper, BALLISTIC THERAPY is three starts into this preparation and down in grade today, looks a solid chance of bouncing back in this contest. Last start, the Shooting To Win mare was in lone for a hat-trick when she stepped-up in class and just found them a little too swift that day when finishing fourth in a BM72 over 1425m at Moruya. Deanne Panya has been aboard for the mare’s past three starts and sticks with her here. There’s plenty of early speed here, giving Panya time to cross and settle from barrier eight. Fourth-up here, she should be at her peak and among easier company, she can return to the podium today.

Race 3: No.4 FACE THE DAY ($7.10 with BoomBet)

The Luke Clarke-trained FACE THE DAY is this third-up here and looks set for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Zoffany gelding wasted no time returning to the winner’s circle when he beat home a BM58 field, here over 1400m. Coming from near last, he finished too strong for them in the end, ridden a treat by Kayla Nisbet. That was her first win on the galloper from five rides to date and she sticks with him for this assignment. Now a winner at the track and leaving the machine from gate four today, he shapes-up as a big chance for victory here.

Race 6: No.7 MAD DARCEY ($9.50 with Palmerbet)

The David Pfieffer-trained MAD DARCEY has run into some form of late and looks great value in this contest. Last start, the Winning Rupert mare gave a good account of herself when she beat all but one home in a BM66 Hcp over 1300m at Goulburn. Jay Ford settled her in the one-one and after taking over in the run home, she looked a good thing until she was run down by a swooper near the line. Meeting similar company here, she draws nicely in gate four as Ford remains aboard for this assignment. She finished as the bridesmaid in two of her past three starts, maybe she can go one better here at odds.
