Race 1 No. 6 QUICKSTER- ($1.75)

QUICKSTER should be hard to beat in the opener at Pakenham. The Moody/Coleman filly was a narrow runner-up over the 1200m on the Synthetic at her debut before rising sharply to Group 2 level in the Fillies Classic (1600m) at Moonee Valley and running 4th behind Skybird. She was held up from the 400m to the 150m before running on late. The daughter of Shamus Award should find this easier and draws perfectly in barrier 5 with Billy Egan to ride.

Race 8 No. 4 RACKEMANN- ($2.10)

RACKEMANN can just about make it back to back wins when he steps out in the final race of the day. The Team Hayes-trained galloper resumed at Sandown on August 30 and settled handy to the lead before booting out to win by more than two lengths from King Of Fighters. He comes in with 10-weeks in between runs but was good enough to do it fresh last time in a race that has provided a number of winners. The promising galloper might have bigger things in store than this and should be hard to beat from barrier 4.

Race 5 No. 8 JUELENE ($8.40)

JUELENE can break through in Race 5. The seven-start Maiden has been luckless in two of her past three runs when finishing runner-up. She resumed off a 10-week break on October 29 at Sale and was keen early on then was held up from the turn until the 300m mark when running on to fill the exacta behind Diamond Decorator over the 1100m. She strips fitter for this and was runner-up at the same stage of her last preparation. Joe Bowditch just needs to find some cover in the early stages and the pair should be hard to hold out late in the piece.
