Race 5 No. 3 GOODARCHIE – ($5.50)

We’ll stick with GOODARCHIE who won two in a row at a good price under Kayla Crowther before stepping up in trip last start. We believed Goodarchie would find a good run on the speed here last time out. What we did not expect to see was Scout’s Honour taking up the front-running for the first time in his career. Scout’s Honour ran them along at such a fast clip that the field set a new track record for the 1350 metres. Goodarchie sat on that blistering pace with him and kept plugging on to the end. He became swamped by a couple late to finish running third in ultra-smart time. Has a difficult draw to overcome with speed to his inside; however, Goodarchie is a couple of lengths ahead of this field.

Race 7 No. 2 FRENCH ROCK – ($6.50)

The much-travelled FRENCH ROCK has found another new home in the Port Lincoln stables of John Dunn & Krystal Bishop. It has often been said the best time to catch this horse on the punt is while racing fresh and early into his prep. French Rock made an immediate impact on his new home turf after stepping slowly from the gate here a fortnight ago. Alana Livesey hunted him through along the fence with French Rock showing enough speed to still take up a position. He showed no signs of being unbalanced on the tight up and down track to finish strongly and score. Rochelle Milnes can make a statement at Port Lincoln of Friday with French Rock being amongst her many winning chances.

Race 2 No. 5 BUILDING CASTLES – ($9.50)

The commanding Port Lincoln stables of John Dunn & Krystal Bishop can deliver their apprentice Rochelle Milnes with her first race winner on Friday. The pair leg Milnes aboard BUILDING CASTLES who ran a cheeky race on debut back in April this year. Angus Chung sent the horse forward over 1000 metres here before Building Castles faded late in a strong maiden behind Perfect Zed. The stable tipped their charge out shortly afterwards and have trialed him three times since in preparation for return. The latest of which saw Milnes go to work on the horse on the soft 7 at Strathalbyn. Should find some cover near the pace to be the first one attacking into the straight
