Race 8:  No.11  LOUISVILLE  ($4.40 with Bet Right)

Lining-up nicely at the weights here, the Chris Waller-trained LOUISVILLE is third-up today and should be ready to produce his bet here. Last start, the Redwood gelding took a while to get going but hit the line better than the rest to pick up the silver medal in a BM72 Hcp over 1400m on the Kensington track at Randwick. He took plenty of ground off the winner (Cloudland) that day and should strip fitter here. Well drawn in gate five, Tommy Berry pilot’s the ship for the first time and with a trouble-free run, he is well weighted to take this out.

Race 2:  No.5  COSMIC FIELD  ($6 with BlueBet)

The Nathan Doyle-trained COSMIC FIELD is three starts into this preparation and conditions here look positive for a forward showing in this contest. Last start, the Deep Field gelding was never on the track, jumping from the outside gate (11), which saw him finish mid-field in the BM72 Midway Hcp at Newcastle. It’s a whole new ball game here as he gets the gun run from gate one with new rider Dylan Gibbons in the saddle. Doyle slaps the blinkers on for the first time and from the ideal draw, we should see a different horse here.

Race 7:  No.5  ANOTHER ONE  ($12 with bet365)

Gary Colvin saddles-up ANOTHER ONE here who has a habit of flying under the radar and it appears he is doing it again in this contest. Last start, the Super One gelding was second-up when he clobbered them in a Wodonga Open Hcp over the mile. With Danny Beasley on board for the sixth time, he took over on the turn and left the rest to argue over the minor money as he put almost three lengths on them over the line. He is already a two-time winner when third-up, a two-time winner at Randwick and yet, here he is at double-figures with Beasley to steer the ship again. Surely the best each-way ticket on the card.
