John Thompson saddles-up WITH YOUR BLESSING here who is looking to bounce back here as he drops in grade. Last start, the Vadamos gelding couldn’t match it with the Listed company in a 1200m Quality on this track. The five-year-old drops sharply in grade here and has Tim Clark as the new pilot for this assignment. He maps to settle mid-field with cover and after four starts this preparation, he should be at his peak for this event. Boasting a good record at the track, he looks a genuine winning chance here.

Race 2:  No.2  FATHER’S DAY  ($5.50 with Palmerbet)

The Bjorn Baker-trained FATHER’S DAY has found some form lately and he looks right up to this challenge. Last start, the Galileo gelding made it two wins from his past three starts when he gave them a galloping lesson in a BM72 Hcp over 2400m at Warwick Farm. Carrying 60kgs, he led from barrier to box, putting almost two lengths on them over the line. Dylan Gibbons is back for this assignment, having already ridden the six-year-old to victory once previously. He galloper has won in this company before, over this trip on the Kensington track. He should be thereabouts at the finish.

Race 10:  No.6  TESTATOR SILENS  ($9 with Ladbrokes)

The Joe Pride-trained TESTATOR SILENS is one start up on his stablemate (Ceolwulf) which should give him the edge in this contest. Last start, the Star Witness gelding came off a lengthy 30-week absence and after travelling three-wide most of the way, was impressive in beating all but one home in a BM78 over 1200m at Warwick Farm. That was his first run for the stable after transferring from the Luke Clarke camp. Already a winner when second-up, he draws perfectly in gate two here and Reece Jones remains aboard for this assignment. He lines-up as one of the main chances and looks well worth an each-way ticket.
