Rosehill-based galloper GREBENI is in good touch this preparation and looks well placed here for back-to-back victories in this contest. Last start, the Ocean Park gelding beat home Open company over the mile on this track with Kerrin McEvoy aboard. That was McEvoy’s fourth win from five rides on the four-year-old and he sticks with him for this assignment. Ideally drawn in gate four, he maps to sit just behind the speed and at his peak here, he looks hard to hold out.

Race 10:  No.4  PLUNDERING  ($7 with BlueBet)

Another from the Neasham stable is PLUNDERING who is three starts into this campaign and looks ready to win. Last start, the Shooting To Win gelding rang-up his tenth podium finish in 12 career starts when he took home third prize in a BM78, here over 1400m. Drawn nicely in gate three here, he maps to settle in the first half-dozen with first crack at the leaders on the turn. Chad Schofield returns for the ride after already steering the four-year-old to a win and three minor placings from his five previous rides. He well overdue for a change of luck and it can happen here.

Race 9:  No.5  MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO  ($7.50 with Ladbrokes)  

Annabel Neasham saddles-up MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO here who returns from a stint in Brisbane and down in grade, looks right in the mix. Last start, the Kobayashi mare made it four-straight podium finishes when she beat all but one home in a set weights Open event at Eagle Farm over 1400m. She is already a winner here and the stable fit the blinkers for the first time. Jett Stanley is in charge for this assignment and from gate seven, the mare maps to settle mid-field with cover. She should be at her peak after four starts this preparation and will give this contest a real shake.
