Race 1: No.5 TRACK TALE ($2.80 with bet365)
The Ricky Vale-trained TRACK TALE suffered her first ‘hiccup’ last start but gets her chance here to bounce back today. Two starts back, the Whittington filly left her comfort zone (on the Callaghan Park track) and saw the Mackay circuit for the first time where she hung on for a courageous win in a Class 3 over 1100m. Then last start, she returned to Mackay where she finished a surprising last of 11 runners in a BM55 over the 1200m trip. No abnormalities were found, it appears it was just an off-day. Les Tilley returns for his second ride on the three-year-old today where she gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be on-speed. Back on home soil today where all four previous starts resulted in top-two finishes, the boxes are all ticked and she looks the testing material here.

Race 8: No.2 GLOWSTICKS ($4.20 with Bet Right)
Clinton Taylor and Justin Stanley team-up here again with GLOWSTICKS who three starts into this preparation and yet to miss a podium finish, looks set to keep that going today. Last start, the Pierro gelding came off two minor placings and looked set for a win when he yet again, had to settle for another minor prize as he beat all but one home, here in a Class 1 over 1200m with Justin Stanley on board. Lady luck just might be ready to swing his way today as he comes up with barrier one here and maps to be parked right behind the early speed. The four-year-old has strung together seven top-three finishes in a row with Justin Stanley on board for the last four of those. The former Godolphin-owned galloper won fourth-up last preparation and with a trouble-free run here, he can repeat that effort here today.

Race 7: No.9 IMAGINE THAT ($13 with Picklebet)
Jason Divine saddles-up IMAGINE THAT here who is second-up today and ticks enough boxes to suggest she will be there at the finish in this contest. Last start, the Dream Ahead mare was fresh off a 20-week break and although in need of the run, wasn’t disgraced when finishing mid-field (beaten less than three lengths) in a BM0-55, here over the 1050m sprint. With that run behind her now, she will strip fitter here and gets all the favours from gate one today. Jackson Murphy is the pilot today who has steered the five-year-old to victory four starts back. She maps to settle near mid-field today and will save plenty of ground sticking to the fence. Already a winner when second-up and has had success previously on home soil and over this trip, she looks a serious player at odds today and is well worth an each-way ticket today.
