Goulburn galloper MOJO MAGIC is unbeaten in three starts and resumes here off an 18-week break. Last campaign, the Duporth gelding had just the one start where he made every post a winner, putting two lengths on the 12-strong field in a Class 2 Hwy Hcp at Randwick over the 1000m sprint. Since then, he has returned to work where he won a recent barrier trial by 5.5 lengths on his home track. Nick Heywood is two from two on the three-year-old and steers him around Rosehill in this contest. Drawn in gate three here, he looks the one they all have to beat.

The Waterhouse & Bott team saddle-up KIBOU here who is second-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest he will take beating here. Last start, the Maurice gelding resumed off a 10-month absence and did well to beat all but one home in a BM78 Hcp over 1200m at Randwick. Trying to lead all the way, he held his own but was nosed-out on the line by the smart Iowna Merc, with the pair of them putting 2.5 lengths on the rest of the field. Already a winner when second-up and a two-time winner here, he will strip fitter for that first-up run and should prove hard to run down in this contest.

Race 3: No.6 OAKFIELD WARATAH ($5.25 with Bet Right)
Wyong galloper OAKFIELD WARATAH returns to the city for a chance at back-to-back victories in this contest. Last start, the Dissident gelding kept his great form going when he easily accounted for a BM72 Midway Hcp, here over 1500m. He drew the carpark that day in gate 15 and with Reece Jones in the saddle, still managed to put 1.5 lengths on the 18-strong field that day. Much better drawn in gate four here, Jones sticks with the four-year-old who should prove hard to keep out again.
