BEST BET 🏆

Race 5:  No.2  CLOUDLAND  ($3.95 with BoomBet)

The Kris Lees-trained CLOUDLAND is second-up here and looks in line for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Swiss Ace gelding came off a 20-week absence and on fresh legs, finished best to take out a BM72 Hcp over 1250m on Randwick’s Kensington track. Dylan Gibbons was aboard that day and his resume now shows he is two from two on the five-year-old. He gets all the favours here from gate one and already a winner when second-up, will take beating in this contest.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7:  No.6  CLEAR CHOICE  ($7.50 with bet365)

Warwick Farm galloper, CLEAR CHOICE, sees Rosehill for the first time today and third-up here looks well placed to stake a claim for victory. Last start, the Choisir gelding was second-up when he made it consecutive runner-up finishes, beating all but one home (again) in a BM64 over 1400m at Kembla Grange. He had no luck from the outset, drawing the outside gate (10) and allotted 60.5kgs for the race. He sat three-wide without cover to the turn and then, still finding more, he fought it out with two others and did well to come up with the silver medal. Drawn better today, he is up slightly in grade but carries 3.5kgs less than last start as Josh Parr returns for his third ride on the four-year-old. Already a winner when third-up, his track debut today can easily be a winning one.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.7  BUILT  ($7.50 with Bet Right)

Chris Waller and James McDonald team-up again in this contest with BUILT who is in good touch this time in and looks a genuine chance here for victory today. Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding settled mid-field and did well to grab third prize in a BM72 over 1800m on the Kensington track at Randwick. He settled further back than planned (after announcing he was to be ridden further forward). Rock-hard fit after five starts this preparation, J.Mac sticks with him and in the small field, he may find the going a little easier to settle near the speed today. Taken on trust here, he can bounce back and take home the chocolates at good odds.
