Race 10:  No. 16  ANAGAIN  ($5.75 with Bet Right)

Joe Pride saddles-up ANAGAIN here and second-up in this event, has claims for victory. Last start, the Hinchinbrook mare was fresh off a 12-week spell when she beat all but one home in a BM72 Hcp, here over 1200m. She ran the last 600m, 4.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, second best behind Daralina Belle who remains unplaced in two Rosehill starts. She also posted the fastest final 600m and 400m sectionals for that race. Brett Prebble remains in the saddle here and has drawn wide where the four-year-old maps to settle back in the field. Placed twice from three previous second-up runs, she will strip fitter here after that first-up run and should play a part in the finish.

Race 5:  No4  STARIANNE  ($5 with Bet Right)

Victorian visitor STARIANNE is in good touch this time in and has the runs on the board to suggest she is a strong chance of showing up in this contest. Last start, the Sebring filly had no luck and was far from disgraced when finishing fourth (beaten just two lengths) in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) at Morphettville. She ran that out, 7.5 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best here by 7 lengths. Trapped wide to the turn, she still hit the line strongly giving plenty of indication she can measure up to this much easier assignment. Jay Ford has the reins here and drawn far better in gate three, she maps to settle better than mid-field with cover. A clear run to the line should see her stake a claim for victory here.

Race 6:  No.7  TOKEN CAPITALIST  ($7 with Ladbrokes) 

The Annabel Neasham-trained TOKEN CAPITALIST is in career-best form this preparation and looks set to keep his strike rate going here. Last start, the Capitalist gelding ended a hat-trick of minor placings by taking out a BM72 Hcp over the mile at Gosford. He covered that trip, 1.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field and that a was a new personal best as well. Brett Prebble was aboard that day and is sticking with the three-year-old here. He has drawn wide but maps to settle back in the field anyway. Its his first look at the Rosehill track but in top-shelf form, he can give this contest a real shake.
