KING NEPTUNE can go close in the final event of the day at Sale. The Philip Stokes-trained galloper has been an improver in recent times, finishing top two at his past three. He claimed his maiden in dominant fashion at Cranbourne two starts ago before leading them up at Pakenham where he was run down late by Jabbawockeez. The son of Ocean Park draws wide for this but might work up to sit outside the lead and with even luck in the run he can end the day a winner.

Race 6 No 1 CAUSE FOR CONCERN- ($6.50)
CAUSE FOR CONCERN can be an improver in Race 6 of the afternoon at Sale. The Shawn Mathrick-trained galloper had some good form at his initial preparation and has had two starts this time in, getting back in slowly run races before running on. At the most recent of those he was slowly away and looked to be working into it but never really had a clear crack at them from the 500m when 5th at Pakenham behind Twin Perfection. He just needs a cleaner getaway, while the tempo looks better this time around and the son of Worthy Cause draws to save ground from barrier 1.
