Race 4 No. 4 MY NAME IS- ($1.55) 

Solid debut performance by MY NAME IS at Mornington over the 1000m late last year and the Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained galloper can go one spot better here. At Mornington, he settled on the speed and was a tad green before sticking on well to fill the exacta behind Amigo. A firmer in the early betting, the son of Per Incanto comes in with the best benchmark figures of any horse in the race and should improve off his debut run.

Race 7 No. 4  SPIRIT BEAST -($3.90) 

SPIRIT BEAST should be ready to fire when he steps out in Race 7. Another from the Anthony & Sam Freedman camp, he comes into this third up and has been running on in his two runs so far with a 5th at Sandown over the 1400m and a runner-up at Mornington over the 1500m. At Mornington, he settled back and his cause wasn’t helped by the lack of pace in the race. Extra 200m looks like it should suit and with even luck from the barrier he should be hard to hold out at the business end.
