BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 3 No. 4 KOLLANTAI- ($2.10)

KOLLANTAI has been knocking on the door at her past couple of starts and looks well placed to chalk up the first win of her career when she steps out in Race 3. The Griffiths & de Kock-trained galloper settled handy and looked the winner at Cranbourne over the 1300m on May 12 before being run down late by Queen Latifa. She had a four length gap on the rest and went four lengths slower than standard benchmark that day, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced in their careers. Logan McNeil rides and the pair draw barrier 5. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 5 No 7 SIR ROCKFORD- ($2.80)

SIR ROCKFORD shapes as a solid player in Race 5. The four-year-old claimed his Maiden at Werribee two starts ago before heading to Sandown and filling the exacta behind Royal Hard Hat. That came on a Heavy 9 and he settled handy before sticking on, putting a gap on the rest to go 4.8 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is 6.6 lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. Damien Oliver rides and he has bee smashed in the early betting.

Race 7 No. 3 FIELD OF FLUTES- ($3)

FIELD OF FLUTES creates plenty of interest in Race 7. The Maher/Eustace galloper scored on the Heavy 10 at Warrnambool at the recent carnival ahead of Stay In Touch, while there was an eight length gap on the rest. He was placed in his two runs prior to that at the end of his last preparation in races where the form held right up. The son of Deep Field was second up at the ‘Bool and five weeks in between runs. He might have more to come and the likelihood of a Soft track suits. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 

Race 8 No 1 BLOOD OATH- ($4.80)

BLOOD OATH has been up for a while but is thriving with racing and no reason to suggest that he can’t go back to back after scoring at Hillside on April 19. The Enver Jusufovic-trained galloper led and stuck to the task late in the piece at Sandown on April 19 ahead of Ebony King over the 1300m. He went a healthy eight lengths faster than standard benchmark that day and has shown that he has the ability to handle big weights. Look for the eight-year-old to cross from barrier 8 and be in this for a long way.
