Race 6:  No.6  MOOSHAKA  ($5.50 with Bet Right)

The Nick Olive-trained MOOSHAKA is in great touch this time in and looks well placed here for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Pride Of Dubai mare went to the gates as our Best Bet 🏆 at Albury and didn’t disappoint when she clobbered them in a BM58 over 900m. Ridden a treat by Billy Owen, she parked just off the speed, then inside the final 200m, came off their heels and went on to win by more than a length on the line with 61.5kgs on her back. Today, she steps-up in grade but drops a noticeable 6kgs for the contest. Kayla Nisbet is the pilot today and from gate four, maps to settle better than mid-field with cover. A trouble-free run here should see her challenging for the major prize.

Race 5:  No.1  CRAVING MAGIC  ($2.40 with bet365)  

The Rob Potter-trained CRAVING MAGIC has finished bridesmaid in both runs this time in but looks well placed here to go one better today. Last start, the Rubick gelding raced erratically and did well to finish second in a 900m Maiden at Queanbeyan. He covered more ground than the others as he raced greenly to the line, but he managed to get there in the end. Now four starts into his career, his racing mannerism will (hopefully) improve here as he steps up in distance today and has Jack Martin on board for the first time. Nicely drawn in gate four, he will strip even fitter after two runs back and provided he runs a straight line today, he can give this real shake.

Race 7:  No.6  ARANCIONE  ($7.60 with BoomBet)

Trained at Moruya by Mark Gee, ARANCIONE comes into calculations here after her last couple of efforts and with all boxes ticked here, can surprise at odds today. Last start, the Eurozone mare was fresh off a lengthy 22-week break when she did best to take out a Class 1, here over 1400m. Richard Bensley was aboard that day for his ride on the mare and sticks with her for this assignment. After taking out her maiden to end her last campaign, she is set for the hat-trick today and ideally drawn in gate two for this, she is capable of upsetting the rest in this contest at odds.
