Race 5:  No.3  FAMEUX  ($2.10 with Palmerbet)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up FAMEUX here who is second-up today and should take beating. Last start, the Exceed And Excel gelding was fresh off a 19-week break when he pleased all who took the $118 on offer, as he crushed his Maiden rivals over 1100m at Bathurst. He sat behind the speed to the turn, then Clay Gallagher eased him off the fence where he came wide and took control and went on to win by more than six lengths over the line. Gallagher sticks with him here and a repeat of that performance will see him hard to beat today.

Race 4:  No.1  MAZITA  ($2.70 with Ladbrokes)

Locally-trained by Lyle Chandler, MAZITA is third-up today and looks every chance of going back-to-back. Last start, the Merchant Navy gelding showed a ton of improvement when he took out a Class 1 Hcp over 1450m at Muswellbrook after being heavily supported ($2.30 – $1.70). Today, Ash Morgan returns for his second ride on the galloper who draws nicely in gate four. He won third-up last campaign and the mile trip looks ideal for him now. He looks the one to beat.

Race 7:  No.10  REDFORD  ($3.20 with bet365)

Another from the Neasham stable is REDFORD who made a notable effort on debut and looks well placed for back-to-back wins today. Last start, the Snitzel gelding had his first race start and was impressive in winning the 1300m Maiden by almost two lengths at Bathurst. He took thew turn the widest of them all but still finished too strong despite the 58.5kgs on his back. Today, Heavelon Van Der Hoven has the reins and carrying 2.5kgs less here, he looks a prime candidate for victory.
