Race 8 No. 1 DANTOOINE- ($4.20)

DANTOOINE should be hard to beat in the final race of the afternoon at Stawell. The Tom Dabernig-trained galloper has had the three career starts and was a winner two starts back before tackling a BenchMark 70 during the Warrnambool carnival and running 4th behind Dubai Dancer. He was keen early on then was held up in the straight before working home strong out wide. This is much easier and the 2kg claimer, Jake Weatherly, rides. He strikes at 29% for the stable, providing a 93% profit on turnover for punters.

Race 6 No. 3 CAT NOIR- ($4.20)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for CAT NOIR. The Jamie Edwards-trained galloper won two on the trot then was thrown into the deep end at Caulfield last time, battling late over the 2000m when 10th behind Aztec State. She went too hard out in front before running out of petrol tickets.The daughter of Merchant Navy was a winner at Geelong prior to that. This class suits better and she has the early speed to find a spot from the wide barrier.
