KENSINGTON DIVA should be hard to beat in Race 2 at Ballarat. The Tony & Calvin McEvoy filly has placed in two of her four career starts and her best performance was probably her debut, which came on the Ballarat Synthetic last year in August when a narrow runner-up behind Just Watch Me, putting a six-length gap on the rest. She heads into this fresh and we can expect her to be ready to go.

COSMIC RHAPSODY can be an improver back on the Synthetic. The seven-year-old tends to save his best for the surface and has had three runs this time in, finishing a three-length 7th over the 1200m in the most recent of those. He has finished out of the placing just once in seven starts on Synthetic tracks and his peak came at this stage of his last preparation when going 2.2 lengths faster than standard to win over the 1100m at Ballarat. The son of Star Witness draws perfectly in barrier 4.
