Race 3 No. 1 ANOINTED LAD- ($3.60) 

ANOINTED LAD can break through in Race 3. The four-year-old has had the three career starts and was ok at Mornington on debut before being outclassed by the likes of Ginger ’N’ Pink at Sandown. At her most recent start, she rose from the 1200m to the 1400m and was solid late in the piece when working home well for 5th, beaten three lengths by Charisse. The Ken & Kasey Keys-trained galloper gives the impression that the step to the 1700m should suit and this looks easier.

Race 6 No. 5  JUICE BOX –  ($3.60) 

JUICE BOX can go close in Race 6 after a last start effort that saw her narrowly miss at Bairnsdale over the 1200m on November 21. She led them up that day and went down in the shadows, putting a bit of a gap on the 3rd horse. Form this preparation has been solid and includes a two length win at Kyneton three starts ago. The daughter of Kuroshio doesn’t mind a bit of cut out of the ground and might spear forward from the barrier.
