Race 6:  No.3  HYDE PARK  ($2.20 with bet365) 

The Waterhouse & Bott stable make the long trip north with HYDE PARK here who looks primed for a big effort today. Last start, the Spirit Of Boom colt made his racing debut on a Heavy 8 at Rosehill and wasn’t disgraced when finishing fourth in the Two-Year-Old Hcp over 1100m. The stable has big wraps on this youngster and he looks a strong chance in the small field here. He flies the flag as the only runner for the stable today and has the services of leading rider Ryan Maloney. Second-up and fitter, he should be there at the finish.

Race 8:  No.4  INVINOVICH  ($5.75 with Bet Right)

Third-up today, the Natalie McCall-trained INVINOVICH will find this event a lot easier than his last assignment and being a track specialist here, should take some beating today. Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding was second-up when he took his place in the Group 3 Guineas (1200m) which proved to be a bridge too far, finishing last of the 14 runners that day. That was his first unplaced finish in six starts at the Corbould Park track. Nikita Beriman sticks with him here as he drops sharply in grade today and looks much better placed in this company. Fitter for two runs back, he looks a prime candidate for the money here.

Race 9:  No.8  DUBAI TYCOON  ($19.20 with BoomBet)

The Brett Cavanough-trained DUBAI TYCOON resumes from a lengthy 29 weeks in the paddock but has claims to suggest he can give this contest a real shake at odds today. Last start, the Written Tycoon gelding ended his last preparation by finishing fourth in Open company on a Heavy 10 at the Gold Coast over 1350m. He then hit the spelling paddock and since returning to work, has placed in a Grafton trial, then won he last trial at Ballina eight days ago. He is a two-time winner when fresh and is a winner at the track and distance. They are impressive claims for a horse who is (currently) $19.20 with the bagmen and he is well worth an each-way ticket today.
