Race 8: No. 2 MEMOIRE PARFAIT ($3.50 with Neds)
The Annabel Neasham-trained MEMOIRE PARFAIT has found his mojo this preparation and looks likely to go on with it here tonight. Last start, the Tavistock gelding remained unbeaten (when third-up) where he demolished his opposition in a BM0-58 Hcp over 2000m at Gatton. With Brodie Loy on board for the first time, he led from the 1200m and it was a procession from there as he went on to put 6.5 lengths on them over the line. In the process, he posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race as well. He draws the outside gate here, but in the small field it shouldn’t come into play as he maps to cross and possibly lead here. Brodie Loy sticks with him tonight and if he is allowed to dictate play from the outset, they may struggle to reel him in again.

Race 5: No.9 ENTERPRISE BELLA ($6 with Palmerbet)
Ipswich galloper, ENTERPRISE BELLA is yet to miss a top-three finish in seven starts this time in and with boxes ticked everywhere, she looks a genuine player in this contest tonight. Last start, the Rothesay mare bounced back from three-straight minor placings when she claimed an overdue win in a Class 1 Plate, here over 1400m. She ran the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals that day in the narrow win. That was Georgina Cartwright’s second win on the mare and she is in charge again here. Now a track and distance winner and down in the weights here, she steps up in grade tonight but has the runs on the board to suggest she is a strong winning chance in this event.
