Race 5: No.2 HUSSON’S REVENGE ($2.90 with BlueBet)
Gold Coast galloper HUSSON’S REVENGE has returned in great form and second-up today looks the one to beat here. Last start, the Husson gelding resumed off a six-month absence and on fresh legs, took out a BM58 Hcp over 1100m at Ipswich. He carried 59.5kgs that day and was caught wide most of the trip, but still won by a length on the line with plenty in reserve. Fitter for that run and getting the gun-run from gate one, he will take beating today.

Race 7: No.4 SHOPPING ESPRIT ($4.60 with bet365)
The Beaudesert-based SHOPPING ESPRIT has finished top-two at his past four starts and second-up today looks set to go on with it. Last start, Bel Esprit gelding was fresh off a lengthy 30-week break when he clobbered a BM62 field, here over 1400m. With Samantha Collett on board for the first time, he drew wide (8 of 9) but still had enough fuel in him to put three lengths on the them over the line. A track specialist here, he has two wins and two runner-up finishes from his four starts at Corbould Park and despite the wide gate here, he has the runs on the board to suggest he can give this a real shake today.
