BEST BET 🏆
Race 2: No.1 WARRIORESS ($2.10 with Palmerbet)
The Tony Gollan-trained WARRIORESS has impressed this time in with two wins from her five starts so far and this contest looks right up her alley today. Last start, she came off a runner-up finish in Class 1 company when she went one better by beating home as BM58 field, here over the 1000m sprint. She ran her last 600m, half a length quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort here, while also posting the fastest final 200m sectional for the race. Three starts at the track and distance have reeled a win and two bridesmaid prizes and with Ryan Maloney remaining in the saddle, she will take some beating here.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 3: No.2 ENVIABLE ($2.10 with bet365)
Annabel Neasham saddles-up ENVIABLE here who has been knocking on the door for a win this preparation and gets a golden opportunity in this contest. Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding found the podium for the second consecutive time when he took home third prize in an 1845m Maiden Hcp at Eagle Farm. Although beaten three lengths on the day, he still ran home well and covered his last 600m, 2.3 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field. Ben Thompson was aboard that day and sticks with the three-year-old for this event. The stable have removed the winkers (again) here and fourth-up today, he should be at his peak and will take beating.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 6: No.3 THUNDER MANIA ($6 with Ladbrokes)
Local galloper THUNDER MANIA is three starts back here and should be ready to give his best today. Last start, the Snitzel gelding finished just behind the placegetters for the second-straight time when taking home fourth prize in a BM68 Hcp, here over the 1200m trip. He had no luck in the run home, after settling back in the field. He ran the trip out, 1.5 lengths slower than benchmark, still the best in this line-up by more than 2 lengths. Larry Cassidy has ridden him in two of his three career victories to date and returns here for another crack. He’ll do no early work from gate five and maps to settle near mid-field with cover. Rock-hard fit after three runs back, he looks a genuine threat to this field today at odds.
