BEST BET 🏆

Race 5:  No.12  TYCOON MISTRESS  ($2.45 with Ladbrokes)

The Annabel Neasham-trained TYCOON MISTRESS is in red-hot form this time in and will take a ton of beating in this contest. Last start, the Capitalist mare came off a hat-trick of minor placings when she cracked it for her Maiden win over 1000m at Eagle Farm. With James Orman aboard, she gave them a galloping lesson as she put almost three lengths on 10-strong field. She has good early gate speed which has her settling near mid field with cover. At her peak today and in such hot form, she should take beating here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7:  No.5  SLEIGH QUEEN  ($7 with bet365)

Another from the Neasham stable is SLEIGH QUEEN who is third-up today and looks nicely placed for back-to-back victories in this contest. Last start, the Shalaa mare showed enough improvement to beat home a BM65 field over 1350m at Ipswich. Ridden a real treat that day by Damien Thornton, he had her one out, one back and on straightening, took over and went on with it, holding the late swoopers at bay. Thornton has the reins again here and from gate three, looks to be box-seating on settling. She won back-to-back last preparation and there is no reason why she can’t repeat that effort today.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 2:  No.7  TENGUN READY  ($8.50 with Bet Right)

The Chris Anderson-trained TENGUN READY is second-up today and after ticking the important boxes here, looks a little ‘overs’ for this contest. Last start, the Better Than Ready filly resumed off a six-month absence when she lined-up in a strong Class 3 at Eagle Farm and clearly in need of the run, finished unplaced in the 1000m sprint. Today, she returns to Corbould Park where she scored her last victory (three starts back) and retains the services of veteran rider Jim Byrne for this assignment. She won second-up last preparation and is a track and distance winner as well. The small suits and avoiding any dramas here, she looks a strong winning chance at odds.
