The Stuart Kendrick-trained LION’S TOOTH has found the podium in all three starts this time in and looks well placed here to ring-up his second career win today. Last start, the Redoute’s Choice gelding was third-up when he beat all but one to the line in a Class 1 Hcp, here over 1400m. He ran his last 600m, 3.2 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up by more than 3 lengths. He also posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Ryan Maloney was aboard that day and remains in the saddle for this contest. He has placed three times at the track and racing without much luck of late. That can all change here today.

Last start, the Sidereus gelding made his first appearance in almost a year when he finished mid-field in a Class 5 Hcp over 1200m at Ipswich. He finished it off running his last 600m, 3.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this field by more than 3 lengths. Luke Tarrant had his first ride on the seven-year-old that day and sticks with him here. Six previous second-up runs resulted in four podium finishes (including a win) drawn gate two here, he maps to be parked just off the speed on settling. Four of his five wins have come on top of the ground so the Good 4 forecast for today looks ideal for him. Currently at double-figures, he looks well worth an each-way ticket today.
