Race 7 No. 2 SMOOTH MOVE – ($5)
The Toby & Trent Edmonds team have engaged Robbie Fradd to ride SMOOTH MOVE who should be ready to show his best. He’s coming into this at his fourth run in and showed improvement when Fradd took the reins here last start. That was over this track and distance and there was a fair bit of pace on up front. Fradd settled Smooth Move into a perfect midfield position on the rail and the pair made their move into the straight. They remained toward that inner section as they picked their way through until they found their path blocked deep into the furlong. They find themselves up in weight which Smooth Move has already proven he can carry to win. Down in class holds the key and this race sets up well for him.

Race 5 No. 10 KIRELLA SHORES – ($5)
KIRELLA SHORES caught the eye when resuming in a maiden over 1200 metres at Doomben. She was allowed to come right back off them from her wide gate and find her feet towards the rear. Kyle Wilson-Taylor then let her rip with one run up the middle of the track as the bird had flown, and Kirella Shores found the line strongly for second. Settled in the first half in the run following to present at the top of the straight before only holding her own. Taylor Marshall then hopped on board where the pair were set a task, trapped 3WNC the speed. Kirella Shores again bravely held her own to the line and we believe Marshall will give her time to find her feet from the draw today.

Race 9 No. 1 ADONISEA – ($8)
Track and distance specialist ADONISEA will find the pace on up front that he needs to figure into the finish here. Good first-up at Doomben under Jimmy Orman when getting back as per-usual early. As the leaders kicked, Andoniesa stayed back to the inside to make steady progress into the placings. He’s a lovely big gelding with a future who is already a second-up winner here, and will take benefit from the run.
