Race 3:  No.6  EXONUMIA  ($1.90 with Ladbrokes)

Locally-trained by Cody Morgan, EXONUMIA has done everything but win this time in and today looks his best chance of ringing-up win number one on his home track. Last start, the American-bred gelding came off a close-up second at Coonabarabran when he tackled a Class 3 over 1400m at Scone. Box-seating to the turn, he took over soon after straightening and looked the goods until he was claimed (near the line) by a couple of swoopers, leaving him with the bronze medal for the event. Morgan drops him back to the 1200m today and employs Ash Morgan as the pilot for this assignment. He gets the gun-run from gate one today and maps to be box-seating again. Four starts in, he should be at his peak now and is more than capable of taking home the chocolates here.

Race 1:  No.5  SEAHAVEN  ($5.50 with Unibet)

The Jane Clement-trained SEAHAVEN is second-up today and ticks enough boxes to suggest he can give the odds-on favourite here (Indifference) a real fright in this contest. Last start, the Mikki Isle gelding resumed off an 11-week spell as he changed stables, and having his first run for his new Armidale keepers, he did well to finish on the podium after taking home third prize in the BM82 Guyra Cup over 1400m. Braith Nock was aboard for the first time and seems happy to stick with him today. He steps-up to the mile today where he has finished top-three in all three attempts at the trip. Already a winner when second-up and has track and distance status as well, he looks to be the testing material here.

Race 7:  No.4  SHE’S A BAD GIRL  ($7.50 with bet365)

The Damien Lane-trained SHE’S A BAD GIRL is in great touch this time in and looks a ‘tad’ overs here in a race she is more than capable of winning today. Last start, the Deep Field mare handled herself well in Heavy 8 conditions at Kembla Grange where she beat all but one across the line in a Class 1 Midway over 1000m. She raced keenly most of the way and did well to finish just over a length from the winner in the end. She does step-up in class today but has Anna Roper returning for the assignment who steered the mare to her only victory to date and from gate two today, she looks in this contest up to her neck. At her current odds (around $7), she looks a worthy investment here.
