Race 7:  No.8  RAISED BY WOLVES  ($8 with Ladbrokes)

Brett Bellamy keeps it a family affair here with daughter Courtney in the saddle again aboard RAISED BY WOLVES who looks a serious contender to take out this contest. Last start, the Wolf Cry gelding was slowly away but recovered well enough to settle near mid-field on the fence. On straightening, he was too far back to pose a threat to winning but took advantage of the cut-away rail and finished well enough to grab third prize that day in a BM58 over the mile at Coffs Harbour. Courtney Bellamy was aboard two starts back when the four-year-old won a BM50 (also at Coffs Harbour) and returns to partner him again today for this assignment. Nicely drawn in gate four today, he maps to be mid-field on settling and will be rock-hard fit after five runs this preparation. With a clear run to the line, he should be finishing strongly and is more than capable of taking home the chocolates today.

Race 6:  No.5  NOCI DI COCCO  ($8.50 with Palmerbet)

Joe Burges saddles-up NOCI DI COCCO here who is in top-shelf form this time in and looks great value in this contest. Last start, the American-sired galloper was second-up when he finished best from a two-horse battle, here in a BM58 over 1000m. On a Heavy 9 that day, he drew wide (gate 7 of 8) and remained trapped wide to the turn, before fighting it out with Richattack all the way home, finishing best on the line (with She’s A Revelation (our tip in race 5) finishing third in that race). He meets similar company here and after the claim, carries the same weight today. Fitter for two runs back and nicely drawn in gate four, he will take beating here.

Race 5:  No.6  SHE’S A REVELATION  ($11 with bet365)

The Robert Agnew-trained SHE’S A REVELATION has made an impressive start to her career and looks well placed here to go on with it today. Last start, the Russian Revolution filly came off a solid win on debut when she was caught three-wide most of the way but still managed a podium finish as she grabbed third prize in a BM58, here over 1000m. On a Heavy 9 that day, she fought hard all the way and was finishing best when beaten a long neck on the line. Now rock-hard fit after two runs, she gets the gun-run here from gate one and after the claim, meets the odds-on favourite (My Mum’s Toyboy) 4.5kgs better. Courtney Bellamy has been aboard for both starts to date and remains in the saddle for today’s assignment. The three-year-old looks a little ‘overs’ here and a ticket both ways looks the go today.
