Race 5 No. 5 TURN UP THE NIGHT- ($5.60)

This might be one for the former NSW galloper, TURN UP THE NIGHT. The four-year-old has had two starts for his new trainers and led at Kyneton over the 1203m on November 20 before just going down late when 3rd behind Mr Scusi. At his most recent start, he didn’t quite measure up to BM64 level at Sandown, finishing 6th behind South Of Houston. Form out of that has been rock solid, already producing three winners. This looks easier and the 1.5kg claim for Sheridan Clarke gets him down to a winnable weight.

Race 3 No. 3 MACHINEGUN KRELLEY- ($14.20)

MACHINEGUN KRELLEY should find this easier than a last start effort that saw him finish 8th at Sandown over the 1400m. The Shea Eden-trained galloper settled worse than midfield and held his ground in the run home but was no match for the likes of Krememtz. He was excellent prior to that when a luckless runner-up at Bairnsdale. Back at a country level, this might be the one for him to break through.
