Race 3:  No.2  OCTOBER REVOLUTION  ($3.60 with Palmerbet)

Port Macquarie galloper, OCTOBER REVOLUTION, is second-up today and making his Tuncurry debut. Last start, the Russian Revolution gelding resumed off a 13-week spell when he boxed-on strongly to collect third prize in a BM58 Hcp over 1250m at Taree. Arron Bullock was aboard that day and sticks with the four-year-old for this assignment. He gets the gun-run from gate one here and will strip fitter for that first-up hit-out. He has found the podium seven times from nine attempts over this distance and with a trouble-free run today, can get the job done here.

Race 5:  No.2  BORN CONQUEROR  ($9.60 with BoomBet)

Dual-Licenced Peter Graham will saddle-up and ride BORN CONQUEROR here and fitter for two runs back, will take beating in this contest. Last start, the Snitzel gelding finished strongly to grab third prize in a 1300m Maiden at Taree. Near last on the turn, he responded well to hard riding by Graham and finished two to their one, just arriving a little late on the day. Ideally drawn here in gate three, he maps to do no early work and should settle near mid-field on the fence with plenty of cover. Punters gave him plenty of attention overnight where he is now less than half his opening quote ($20) and if the speed is on early, that will pave the way for another strong finish from him again today. He looks well worth an each-way ticket here.

Race 6:  No.13  MAJORIAN  ($10 with Ladbrokes)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up MAJORIAN here who has impressed after just two race starts and looks to go one better today. Last start, the Mikki Isle gelding improved from he debut effort and beat all but one home in a 1610m Maiden on a Heavy 8 at Orange. He settled too far back that day and coming from second last, did well to grab second prize in the conditions. On top of the ground today and settling a little closer in the run, he should strip even fitter and with a clear run to the line, prove hard to hold out at odds in this contest.
