We close off with a BenchMark 64 over the 1700m and LITERATI can end the day a winner. The Symon Wilde-trained galloper tends to take a bit of time to get going in his campaigns and needed the run at the track and trip three starts ago but has performed well on Heavy going in the past. The five-year-old showed improvement at his most recent run, which came in the Apsly Cup (2000m) at Casterton, producing the fastest last 200m to run on for 5th, beaten four lengths by Muntham Missile. He draws the inside barrier for this and was excellent at Flemington when dropping down to the 1700m at a similar stage of his last preparation.

Race 7 No 10 IMA DOZER ($7)
IMA DOZER has been knocking on the door in recent times and gets his chance in Race 7. The five-year-old was runner up at Sale two starts ago before switching to the Eric Musgrove stables. He stepped out at Moe off a seven-week break and filled the exacta behind Bucks on a Heavy track. This looks no harder and he can work across from the barrier early on. He should be in it for a long way.
