BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No.1  FALL FOR CINDY  ($2.25 with BoomBet)

John O’Shea saddles-up FALL FOR CINDY here who is second-up today and looks ready to go one better here. Last start, the Sacred Falls mare resumed off a 14-week spell when she finished half a length from victory behind Sequestered in a BM72 over 1300m at Rosehill. Drawing the outside gate (10), she was last on settling and took the turn the widest of the field. She ran home strongly and was finishing better than the Godolphin galloper, but arrived a little too late, having to settle for second prize on the day. James McDonald is legged aboard for the first time today and from an ideal draw in gate two, will do little work from barrier rise and maps to settle on the fence with cover. Already a winner when second-up, a clear passage home here should see her hard to hold out in this contest.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 3:  No.3  NEED SOME LUCK  ($2.90 with Bet Right)

The Team Snowden-trained NEED SOME LUCK resumes off a four-month break today and after a recent successful trial, looks a genuine winning chance here. Last start, the Rubick colt made it back-to-back runner-up finishes when he beat all but one home, here in a 1200m Maiden. On fresh legs today, he has Ryan Maloney on boards for the first time and from Gate six, maps to settle just behind the speed. With a trouble-free run here, he can stake a claim for the winner’s share of the purse in this contest.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.6  SPALTET  ($6.50 with Neds)

Locally-trained by Bjorn Baker, SPALTET is three-starts into this preparation and back to his best. Last start, the Savabeel gelding saw his home track (under race conditions) for the first time and got the job done when he took out a BM72 Hcp over the 1600m trip. He is up slightly in grade today but does drop in weight and has Tommy Berry as the pilot for the first time. A clear run to the line here can see him going back-to-back today.
