BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No.6  RUBY FLYER  ($3.40 with Bet Right)

The Hawkesbury-based galloper RUBY FLYER has won three of his four starts this preparation and looks set for another big effort here. Two starts back, the Flying Artie gelding drew the carpark (gate 14 of 14), and was never sighted in a BM72, here over the mile. Then last start, he bounced back at Newcastle where he clobbered a BM68 field over the same trip, putting 3.5 lengths on them over the line. He drew the fence that day, box-seated to the turn, then soon after, took over and left the rest to fight out the minors. Zac Lloyd steered him to his maiden win, first-up at Wyong and returns for today’s assignment. Nicely drawn in gate five, he should be at his peak after four starts in and will take beating here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 4:  No.6  SECRET REVOLUTION  ($5.30 with BoomBet)

The Team Snowden-trained SECRET REVOLUTION is in ever-consistent form this time in and looks set for another big performance here. Last start, the Russian Revolution gelding was back on the podium when he finished third in a BM78 over 1100m at Randwick. With Reece Jones in the saddle for his third-straight ride, he sat behind the two leaders (one off the fence) and took ground off them as he held on safely for third money. Down in grade today, he draws well in gate six and looks every chance of returning to the winner’s circle today.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.7  MYSTIC MERMAID  ($8.50 with bet365)

Chris Waller saddles-up MYSTIC MERMAID here who has a solid third-up record and already a winner at this level, looks a solid chance of giving this contest a real shake at odds today. Last start, the Fastnet Rock mare box-seated and passing the 300m mark was checked and lost momentum, then ran out of gas and finished unplaced in a BM72 Hcp over 1500m at Rosehill. Brett Prebble was aboard that day and sticks with four-year-old here. Already a winner when third-up and a two-time winner over the mile, she draws perfectly in gate two today and maps to be box-seating again. Fitter for two runs back and with a trouble-free run here, she looks right in this and is (currently) great value.
