The James Cummings-trained SHAKEN returns from a five-month absence today and her trial form suggests she will take beating in this contest. Last start, the I Am Invincible filly came off a big win in a Wyong Maiden when she took on the two-year-olds again in the city and finished a creditable third over 1100m at Randwick. She then hit the spelling paddock and has since returned to work with two trials, both of which she won. Tyler Schiller is the pilot today where the filly maps to settle in the first half-dozen from gate six. On fresh legs and with a trouble-free run, the Godolphin filly looks the testing material here.

Race 7:  No.5  TUMBLING  ($4.25 with BoomBet)

The Maher & Eustace camp saddle-up TUMBLING here who is second-up and looks poised for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Trapeze Artist gelding resumed off a lengthy 33-week break when he made it look easy in winning a BM64 Hcp over 1250m at Canterbury. Carrying 60.5kgs and James McDonald on his back, he came from well back in the field and put 1.5 lengths on them as he crossed the line. With McDonald currently on duty in Hong Kong, Dylan Gibbons has the reins for today’s assignment and the 1300m looks ideal for the three-year-old. A repeat of that last performance should see him very hard to hold out here.

Race 4:  No.8  STORM THE RAMPARTS  ($4.80 with Picklebet)

The Joe Pride-trained STORM THE RAMPARTS is high flying this time in and with a gear change today, looks set to continue his good form in this contest. Last start, the Headwater gelding made it a hat-trick of top-two finishes when he beat all but one home in a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m at Gosford. The stable have the put the blinkers back on him today as he meets stiffer opposition here where his two previous visits to the ‘Farm’ both resulted in minor placings. Rory Hutchings is legged aboard for the first time today where the three-year-old gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to be box-seating on settling. Fourth-up and at his peak today, he looks the goods here.
