BEST BET 🏆

Race 5:  No.5  HOT OR NOT  ($2.70 with Picklebet)

Toowoomba galloper HOT OR NOT is in career-best form of late and looks a better than even chance of bringing up the hat-trick today. Last start, the Furnaces mare made it back-to-back Gatton wins when she destroyed her rivals in a BM60 over the 860m sprint trip. Emily Lang has been aboard for the mare’s past three starts and looks right home in the driver’s seat again today. The five-year-old gets the gun-run from gate one today and despite the extra weight today, still looks a serious contender here.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7:  No.8  ARCHER’S GAME  ($4.60 with Picklebet)

The Mark Currie-trained ARCHER’S GAME makes her Warwick debut today and already four starts into this campaign, looks a solid chance for victory in this contest. Last start, the Golden Archer mare bounced back from an unplaced effort on the synthetic track at the Gold Coast when she finished third in a Class 1 Hcp over 1300m on her home track at Toowoomba. She has proven to be a consistent mare in her two preparations to date, finding the podium in five of her six starts. Anthony Allen rode her to victory in her Maiden Plate effort four starts back and returns today for this assignment. She does no early work from gate two and maps to settle near mid-field. She should find this a little easier and with a clear run to the line, should have enough in reserve to stake a claim when it matters most.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.9  DEELOSH  ($8 with Bet Right)

Chris Anderson saddles-up DEELOSH here who is in great touch after two starts back and looks poised for back-to-back victories today. Last start, the Mikki Isle mare clobbered her opposition when she crossed the line almost four lengths ahead of them in a BM60 over 1200m at Kilcoy. She ran a slick 1:09 for the 1200m that day and even fitter here, is capable of repeating that effort in this contest. Meeting similar company today, she sees the Warwick track for the first time but has last-start winning rider Rob Thorburn sticking with her and with a trouble-free run here, she can take this out at odds today.
