The O’Dea & Hoysted-trained UNDERHAND is high flying at the moment and looks primed for another forward showing today. Last start, the Winning Rupert mare came off a BM62 win at Gatton when she beat all but one home in a BM70 over 800m at Ipswich. Emily Lang was on board for both events and sticks with the mare here. The four-year-old sees this track for the first time today and will strip even fitter with four starts under her belt this time in. With just 55.5kgs to carry here, she looks a real contender at the weights and should prove hard to beat today.

Race 5:  No.8  BADGERS NUTS  ($6 with Ladbrokes)

Gold Coast galloper, BADGERS NUTS, is three starts into this campaign and up against country class today, looks a genuine winning chance here. Last start, the Rageese gelding finished fifth in a BM0-58 over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast. Today, he sees the Warwick track for the first time and welcomes a new rider with Matthew Powell taking the reins for his first ride on the five-year-old. The stable fit the blinkers for the first time today and after those three runs back, he should be at peak for this contest. Well drawn in gate four, he looks in the mix in this company.

Race 7:  No.12  MANDALAY BLONDE  ($8.50 with BoomBet)

Toowoomba-based galloper, MANDALAY BLONDE, is second-up today and ticks enough boxes here to suggest she can figure in this contest at odds. Last start, the Mahisara mare was fresh off a lengthy 22-week break when she fared well, finishing fifth in a BM65 Hcp over 1000m at Dalby with Emily Lang on board. She ended her last preparation by finishing second here, beaten a head on the line. Lang has the job again today where the mare gets the gun-run from gate one and already a winner when second-up, she looks a real chance here.
