Locally-trained by Damien Lane, OAKFIELD REDGUM has been in consistent form this preparation and looks the one to beat on her home track today. Last start, the Dundeel mare ran home strongly but couldn’t bridge the gap, having to settle for second prize that day. Aaron Bullock is in control today, having ridden the mare to her maiden victory at Port Macquarie. She is in great touch this time in and draws well in gate three. With a trouble-free run today, she will take beating.

Race 3:  No.4  BULLBARROW  ($3.20 with Ladbrokes)

The Matt Smith-trained BULLBARROW is in top-shelf form this tome in and looks well placed here to bring up the hat-trick today. Coming off wins at Muswellbrook and Newcastle, the Irish-bred gelding looks destined to perform best over distances with his last start over 2100m on the Beaumont track ending in victory, coming from behind that day. Aaron Bullock rode him to his maiden win two starts back and returns for today’s assignment. He has been ever-consistent to date with five podium finishes from his six career starts and he looks right in the mix here.

Race 5:  No.5  KINGSTON CHARM  ($4.50 with Neds)

Trained at Randwick by John Thompson, KINGSTON CHARM won her maiden here three starts back and looks well placed here to chalk up another win on the track today. Last start, the Exosphere mare finished well to grab third prize in a Class 1 Hcp over 1500m at Hawkesbury. With Tyler Schiller aboard, she came from back in the field to finish within half a length of victory that day. Schiller sticks with her today and nicely drawn in gate four, she should play a major role in the outcome of this contest.
