Locally-trained by Allan Kehoe, DREAMDEEL is in good touch this time in and conditions here today suggest he can bring up win number five in this contest. Last start, the Dundeel gelding raced on an unfavourable Heavy 8 but still managed to beat all but one home in the Forster-Tuncurry Cup over 2100m. He should find this a lot easier and after the claim, he carries a little less weight here. He maps to settle just behind the pace from gate five and now five starts into this preparation, he should be at his peak for this event. Already a winner on his home track, he looks set to return to the winner’s circle today.

Race 4: No.4 THE SEVEN SEAS ($6 with Ladbrokes)

John Sargent saddles-up THE SEVEN SEAS here who is four starts into this campaign and looks ready to win. Last start, the Merchant Navy mare showed improvement when she finished third in a BM68 Hcp in her first attempt over the mile at Newcastle with Tyler Schiller in the saddle. She drops a little in grade here and returns to the country scene although seeing the Wyong track for the first time. Schiller sticks with her today and ideally drawn in gate three, she maps to settle just behind the pace. All three career-wins have come on a dry track so conditions look ideal for her today. A trouble-free run here should see her fighting out the finish.

Race 7: No.6 BENEFICIO ($6.10 with BoomBet)

Warwick Farm galloper BENEFICIO makes her Wyong debut today and second-up, looks well placed here to make an impression. Last start, the Magnus mare had her first start for new trainer David Pfieffer and did well to beat all but one home in a BM66 Hcp over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Her good early gate speed has her settling better than mid-field here as she is joined by Tim Clark for the first time. She is a consistent mare who boasts a 50% strike rate with eight podium finishes coming from her 16 race starts to date and she looks right in the mix here today.
