Race 7 No. 11 LADY HAMPTON- ($6)

LADY HAMPTON can go close in Race 7 of the evening. The five-year-old resumed with a 3rd placing at Sandown on September 20 in a BenchMark 64, settling just forward of midfield before sticking on well behind Boldinho. She draws wide for this assignment but with speed inside of her the field might string out a bit and Dan Stackhouse will look to land in the three-wide line with cover. The daughter of Hampton Court went 2.8 lengths faster than standard benchmark in her first up run. That is a better last start figure than any other runner in this race. Second up at her last prep, she improved nine lengths on figures to score over at Mornington.

Race 8 No. 4 SUPAGIRL- ($8)

Going with SUPAGIRL in the Pinker Pinker Plate. The four-year-old from the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott stables comes into this second up and sped out to lead at Sandown at a solid clip when resuming on October 1 before just running out of steam late in the piece when 5th behind Ain’tnodeeldun. She went 7.7 lengths faster than standard benchmark in that race, which is the best last start figure of any runner. The daughter of Pride Of Dubai should appreciate the sting out of the track and has been a big firmer since markets opened. Look for her to settle up front and take some catching at the business end.
