BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 3 No. 4 GAWNSKI- ($2.50)

GAWNSKI can get the job done in Race 3. The Jason Warren-trained galloper has performed well in town at his past couple, working home strongly over the 1400m at Caulfield when runner-up two starts ago behind Mollynickers. He then stepped out at Flemington over the 1400m and closed off in steady fashion from the back to run 4th behind Robrick. The son of Impending gets out to the 1700m and looks like he will appreciate the extra ground. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 4 No 2 MICHELOTTI – ($4.20)

MICHELOTTI can be an improver in Race 4. The Robbie Griffiths & Matt de Kock-trained galloper hasn’t quite measured up in Melbourne at his past few but this does look a bit easier. He settled back in a race that developed into a sit-sprint at Sandown on August 6, finishing 9th, while he was 6th in a BenchMark 70 prior to that. Blinkers go on for the first time and Brad Rawiler rides. He is two from four for the stable. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 

Race 6 No. 6 HARBIN – ($3.50)

HARBIN shapes as a solid player in Race 6. The Lindsay Smith-trained galloper has had two runs this time in and was excellent when resuming with a 3rd in a BenchMark 70 at Donald when resuming over the 1200m before fading late into 8th position over the 1300m at Sandown after that. Third up last time, the son of Artie Schiller produced a peak by going nearly four lengths faster than standard benchmark when winning at Werribee. He draws to save ground from barrier 1.
