Race 7 No. 5 LUDOVISI- ($2.30)
Nice return by LUDOVISI at Geelong on August 25 and the Corstens-trained galloper can go one spot better in this race. In his recent assignment, the four-year-old settled towards the tail in the field of 10 before producing the fastest last 200m to just miss behind Where’s Poppy. The son of Caravaggio strips fitter for this and gives the impression that the 1700m should suit. Tempo looks genuine, which should suit.

Race 6 No 7 PEARLMAN – ($2.85)
PEARLMAN looks suited in Race 6. The seven-year-old has had four runs this time in for a couple of runner-up performances at Geelong, including one in a BenchMark 64 as well as another at the track and trip two starts ago. He has since finished a luckless 4th in another BM64 at Sandown. The locally trained galloper drops back to BM58 and performs well with runs under the belt, while he does tend to save some of his best for Geelong.
